Awhile ago on facebook(ok, so it was a few years ago) there were these questions going around in notes. Before facebook they were passed around in e-mail (Remember: fill this out, send it to 10 people and the person who sent it to you, if you don't you will die and untimely death...). And before e-mail the questions came to you written down on paper, folded up nicely from your best friend. (Yes, people actually wrote things on paper!)

So I got this one from a friend on facebook that I hadn't talked to since probably 1993, and this is how I responded to him:

Honestly I hate these things. But because this is the first time I have heard from you in a long time, why not. Maybe you'll talk to me now when I post on your wall.

1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
No, but my dad was the one who named me.

5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
Two boys, Krischan 6, and Jakob 14 months, and a little girl on the way.

6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?
I thought opposites attract. So if you met someone exactly like you, wouldn't that be annoying? There wouldn't be any good conversation because you would always agree with each other. Never do anything new because you would be the same. Also, think about all the things you hate about yourself... Need I say more?

7. DO YOU USE SARCASM?
hmmmm.....

8. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS?
yes... and your point?

Been there, done that. I would rather try skydiving.

What they are wearing. I know, so materialistic, but I am a woman what do you expect?

15. RED OR PINK?
Pink is just a lighter shade of red. Duh. If you pick one, you pick the other.

16. WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF?
I wish I was more outgoing so I could meet more people. I wish I was just a bit smarter. I wish I wasn't wasting my time filling this out.

17. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST?
My grandpa spiegel

18. DO YOU WANT EVERYONE TO COMPLETE THIS LIST?

28. EYE COLOR?

29. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS?
No. would it make a difference if I did? What kind of question is this?

41. WHAT DID YOU Watch on T.V Last Night
Good Eats.

42. FAVORITE SOUND(S).
Everyone says their kids laughter, which to me is an obvious answer. So let's try to be a bit more creative:

The sound of the rain on the roof when laying in bed at night. I also love the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. The complete silence that surrounds you when walking in the woods. The sound of the snow under your feet after it has fallen.

is anyone out there?

It has been so long since I blogged. So much so that I let my domain expire and it isn't easy to reinstate it…things become more complicated with technology sometimes you just give up. And that is what I am doing now on the domain, giving up and I hope that I can get my monday back. I will be back here.

who does the world revolve around?

Mornings can be very interesting. This morning did not disappoint. Jakob and Kadence wanted apple juice for breakfast instead of milk. Rick didn't want to give them apple juice because he felt that was just weird. He wouldn't drink apple juice for breakfast, so why should they. I laughed and told him that this isn't Rick's world and it doesn't revolve around him. "what!?" Rick turns to Jakob and asks: "Jakob, does the world revolve around me?" "No." was Jakobs reply. So Rick decided to ask him who the world revolved around. I was minding my own business making my breakfast when I heard Jakob say "mommy." Let me tell you, that is one smart little kid.

My dishwasher died.

A couple of weeks ago our dishwasher was a loud raucous annoyance. It didn't used to be, it was one of those "quiet" dishwashers. Well, we use it so much I think we kind of slowly started killing it. It got louder and louder as the years passed, till it was at the point it was a couple of weeks ago. I am not kidding. It was so loud I would only run it when I was leaving the house. You couldn't even watch a movie because it would over power the movie. Then one day, we noticed it was back in it's quiet mode. Dishes looked clean, and they were...for a week. Yesterday I opened the dishwasher to put the dishes away and noticed they weren't even close to clean. There was a big pile of detergent just sitting on the bottom of the washer. Doesn't the soap know that it needs to get up into the dishwasher to clean? So this is my thought. Screw calling someone to fix it. We know that story, it costs just as much to fix it than to buy a new one. I say we buy two ...
